The Effect

The Beyond Effect is the mobilization of people moving beyond themselves to serve and have an eternal effect in the lives of the least of these.

In the Bible, Jesus tells us about the “least of these.”  Those who are hungry, thirsty, strangers, naked, sick, and in prison.  In Matthew 25, he commends those who have served and had compassion on those in need.  James identifies ministry to orphans and widows as pure religion.  As we have trusted our lives to Christ, we are called to serve and love others.  We are called to look Beyond ourselves and step out to show the world love.

We want this to be a place where you can share how you are going Beyond.  Are you feeding the hungry? Are you caring for the sick?  Are you serving the orphans and widows?  Tell us about it.  We hope that you will be able to connect with others who are going Beyond and hear, see, pray, encourage, support and spur one another on in Christian love.  We see the potential in students to affect change in their community, and in turn, reach the world for Christ.

So what can I do from here?

  • Read stories on the blog about students who are going Beyond themselves.
  • Visit the forum and share how you are going Beyond in your school, community, nation, or world.
  • Upload videos, pictures, and stories.
  • Encourage, pray for, and reach out to others who are going Beyond.
  • Love and serve the least of these as you go Beyond.
